Have you ever wondered what to do with the jeans you don't wear? You can use the fabric to create a handmade pot with recycled denim like the one proposed by Pillar Box Blue. You'll love it!
To do this, you only need some cans - as many as you want to decorate - of different sizes, old jeans, glue, scissors, land to grow and small succulent plants or crass, perfect for this type of pot since they are plants that allow the storage of water in much larger quantities than the rest of plants. We specifically need the seams, the hems and the waists, which will wrap our beautiful handmade container. Once we have everything, the steps to follow would be the following:
First, to create a handmade pot you have to cut the seams and hems of the jeans. Then we will glue the different strips of circumferential tissue around each can until completely covered with denim. It is important to apply glue to both the tissue and the can and that the ends of each strip are aligned. In addition, to fix each of the strips we can place a pin holding the two ends for a few minutes until the tail dries; It's about pressing and reinforcing the glue used.
Then we will use another seam to cover the ends of each strip and beautify our handmade pot - glue it with glue on the rest of the fabric and reinforce it with pins until it dries.
Now you just have to place the succulent plants in your new handmade pot, cover the earth roots and water them according to your needs, you will give a touch of color to your home and a second life to your jeans and old cans.
What do you say, do you dare?
