In Captain Denim we have developed a new ecological and sustainable technological process certified by AITEX to bleach the denim fabric. The new system avoids the use of chemical products and in turn leads to a considerable reduction in the consumption of water, energy and process time.
Specifically, this technology achieves 54% less water and saves 80% of the process time, compared to the traditional bleaching process. In addition, as we say, this new system uses 0% of chemical products.
The new ozone wash improves the washing operation parameters, reducing in turn the rinse and drying cycles. This is due to the fact that ozone opens the fibers of the tissue allowing greater water extraction.
On the other hand, ozone reduces the consumption of hot water since the use of this element causes the water temperature to decrease. Ozone has a cleaning and disinfectant effect produced by the oxygen it generates, which cleans the tissue in depth allowing greater absorption between the fibers, and at the same time, reduces the temperature. In addition, the use of ozone causes less damage to the treated tissues.
The new new technology uses ozone as a disinfectant that replaces the bleaching chlorine used in conventional processes. Also, the use of ozone helps to maintain neutral levels of PH by reducing the use of chemicals.
