On the occasion of the celebration of the 8th Day of Sustainable Fashion, organized jointly by Slow Fashion Next and the Museum of Costume, the denim brand Capitan Denim has participated, along with the eco-efficient machinery company Care Applications, in a clothing exhibition organic cotton cowgirls and recycled in the same museum.
Specifically, Captain Denim has donated 3 organic and recycled cotton trousers certified with Global Organic Textile Standard -GOTS-, Global Recycled Standard and Oeko-Tex Standard 100 stamps, to test them for more sustainable washing and dyeing processes than by traditional methods.
In this sense, one of the pants will have an enzymatic wash, which entails a saving of 64% water, 78% energy, 28% time and 25% silicone. Another Texan will carry an ECO Bleach wash, which means 75% less water, 54% less energy, 5% less time, 100% less stone and 25% less silicone. And, finally, jeans with direct dyeing in garment, which implies a saving of 59% water, 81% energy, 18% time, 98% salt and 25% silicone.
Likewise, on April 5th and 6th the Sustainable Fashion Conference will take place for the eighth consecutive year, a pioneering event in the textile sector that brings together in each edition important national and international professionals around its great pillar: sustainability.
In this way, the first day will be dedicated to resources and how to regenerate the system protecting biodiversity, and the second day, to the value chain, because it is much more than a supply chain.
