As many of you have imagined, our Ringo trousers are named after the musician, singer, composer, actor and - how should we say - drummer of the legendary British band The Beatles from 1962 until its dissolution, Ringo Starr.
The creative ability and the peculiar contribution of Ringo Starr to the compositions of The Beatles soon made the band's drummer receive all kinds of positive praise and criticism, even being elected in 2011 the fifth best drummer of all time by the readers of Rolling Stone magazine.
The Beatles were recognized internationally as the most commercially successful and most praised band in the history of pop and rock music. Among the many awards and recognitions, they were nominated for the BAFTA Awards and received an Oscar for Best Soundtrack for the film 'Let It Be'. In addition, The Beatles were named members of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II, and incorporated into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
On a personal basis, Ringo Starr joined the Hall of Fame as a soloist in 2015 and in 2002 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Percussive Arts Society. In addition, Ringo Starr has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located across from the Capitol Records building, since 2010.
Due to its elegance and knowing how to be, in Captain Denim we wanted to pay tribute to the drummer of The Beatles with our Ringo, a pair of chinos with a medium waist and a straight cut perfect for any occasion. With a slightly wider sizing than the Harpo and a very comfortable and current stretch gabardine fabric, this is one of the most sophisticated pants we have in Captain Denim. It is a basic design and manufactured entirely in Spain whose elegance and freshness make it an essential garment to have a full wardrobe background.
Long live Ringo!
