With nearly 150 years of history, the Texan is today one of the basic pieces of any wardrobe background. We have already told you what their origins are, how to take care of them and even how is the manufacturing process of some jeans, but do you know what are the pieces of a jeans? Here is a brief introduction for jeans lovers.
As we say, a pair of pants is made up of several pieces. From top to bottom:
First, we find the loop, located on the upper edge of the garment decorative way. The belt is a small strip of fabric that joins two pieces of pants, in order to hold the belt. It is placed on the waistband, also called the waistband of the trousers.
Second, we have the button, which closes the zipper and adjusts the garment to the waist. It is usually metallic: hard and resistant. The next part of the cowboy would be the yoke, which is the part that joins the waistband and the back piece.
Another piece of pants is the zipper or zipper, used to join the two parts of the jeans and make it fit at the waist. The most common thing in jeans is to use this closure, but it can also be replaced by metallic buttons that give a different touch to the garment.
And if we talk about the zipper, we have to refer to the fly, that is, the opening that produces the placement of the zipper in the jeans.
Also, the rivets serve to reinforce the seams of the pants and make them even more resistant.
At this point, we must also highlight the two large pieces of the Texan: the front and the back, joined by both the inside of the leg and the outside with strong seams that close the garment on both sides.
On the other hand, there are pockets. A jeans is also called a '5 pockets' because it is a model of pants that, in general, has 3 front pockets and 2 rear pockets, a feature that makes them comfortable and practical. Yes, the small front pocket in which many of us keep coins - and which was created to introduce the pocket watch in its day - also counts. This peculiar pocket is known as a watch or watchmaker for the use that was given to it in its origins.
The fabric used to make the pockets of the pants is the lining. You will be happy to know that, in our case, we use 'Made in Green' cotton, both for this part and for the rest of the garment.
If we keep going down, we find the knee line, different for each pattern and pant model. According to the cut of the cowboy -super skinny, skinny, regular ...-, the knee line varies from one to another measure in order to establish the appropriate fit for each model.
To finish with the pieces of a pair of jeans, we have to talk about the bottom or boot, that is, the final part of the leg. Generally, Texans show a hem in this part, however, one of the latest trends in Texans is to give a frayed finish to this area of jeans, an original and striking detail.
And with this you already have the definitive guide to the pieces of a pair of jeans, what you needed as a good denim lover!
